Use 10% extra for straight layouts and 15% for diagonal or herringbone.

How to measure for tiles

For a floor, measure the length and width of the room. For a wall, measure the width and the height you want to tile up to. If the space is L-shaped, split it into two rectangles and work each one out separately.

Why buy extra tiles?

Tiles get cut to fit edges, corners and pipes, and some break. An extra 10% covers this for most straight layouts. Diagonal and herringbone patterns waste more, so use 15%. Keep a few spares in case you need to replace a cracked tile later, as the same batch can be hard to find.

Check the batch number

Shades can vary between batches. Check every box has the same batch number before you start tiling.
